Santa visits Dreamland Park!

Things are getting very exciting out here in North Hatley. Tonight Santa made a brief stop at Dreamland Park before he embarks on his big journey. Ben and Georgia were both very excited to see him.

The tree!

The last Christmas tree hunt was just a warmup for the real deal. Today we went out to the Downey's massive tree farm and hunted down the tree for the living room. We had a great time and Ben was very happy with the tree we selected.

Making some wreaths
Tractor ride was the highlight.

The man, the myth, the legend!

Christmas baking.

Ben's been inspired by all the great food out here! He's taken quite a liking to the kitchen. Grandma got him all decked out in some baking clothes and spent a morning making some butter tarts. Here's the photos.

"busy work"

This may be a new record for the longest time to bake a tart.

It's Official!

A couple things to look for in order to know Christmas is just around the corner...
#1) Snow covering the ground
#2) Charlie Brown Christmas on T.V.
#3) Your Father in law swearing at the lights

The first two haven't happened yet but as for #3...

Classic!

We also made a trip to the tree farm to get the tree for the yard.

Ben searched hard for one he liked...
He finally settled on one.

Good thing we had Grandpa to convince him otherwise.

The spoils.
