As the summer ends....

Well Kiras back at work and me and Ben are just kicking it at home getting ready for school to start. We had a great summer with many highlights that you have seen on this blog. The best part was that we spent a lot of time with friends and family. Ben got his feet in both oceans and grew a great deal. We are looking forward to Patrick moving in with us on labour day. Hope everyone else had just as much fun this summer as we did!

Ben's mountain rendevous.

Being back in Calgary early has its advantages. We managed to get away with Nathalie, Colin and Ava for a hike up Powderface ridge. We had great weather although it was a bit windy at the top. All in all a great first hike for Ben.

Ava's B-day

We got back from Quebec just in time for Ben to celebrate his girlfriend Ava's 1st birthday. Ava really liked the cake.

Our Anniversary

Well, our second anniversary was spent in the van from 8 in the morning until 4 in the morning. Good times. We did manage to get a nice ferry crossing with Patty and Jill and a brief stop with them form lunch at "Skinny's" in Hope. Oh, also a nice 1 hr nap in Field at 2am.

Victoria

We had grand plans of sightseeing and touring around the island, but Ben had other ideas. Most of the time was spent chasing bunnies at UVIC and napping. We attended the beautiful wedding of our friends Laura and Brian (Ben's Godparents) and got to see some good friends who we had not seen in way to long.

Kelowna

Had a great visit with Zoe and Josh in Kelowna on our way to the coast. Josh cooked up a mighty feed of burgers and we told lies about ourselves from the heyday of the four pillars. Good times. It was great to see him and Zoe who has a great pce in Kelowna!
